What’s New in June: Vegan Frozen Dessert Innovations

Like in the world of dairy ice cream, the innovation continues in the vegan frozen dessert industry, too! Every month, we continue to be impressed with the creative releases from brands around the world – and this month is no exception.

For June’s Pick of the Month, we chose the fun new vegan ice cream cakes from Craig’s Vegan Ice Cream! The exciting collaboration with FLOUR SHOP has resulted in three brightly-hued creations, all featuring vegan cake, frosting, frozen dessert, and sprinkles!

Let’s dive into learning more about this new product and a few others!

Menchie’s Vegan Red Rocket Sorbet Arrives! United States

North America's largest self-serve frozen yogurt franchise, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, has recreated the nostalgic rocket pop as a vegan sorbet! This refreshing, non-fat summer treat contains vegan cherry sorbet and real lime juice. It’s 100% plant-based and gluten-free.

To celebrate the chain’s 16th anniversary, enjoy the new flavor using limited-edition special edition cups and collectible spoons (while supplies last)! Like the other products available at Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, the cost depends on the weight.

Dairyland Debuts First Ever Vegan Frozen Dessert, Kenya

Kenya’s self-proclaimed leader of ice cream, Dairyland, has just released a new range of vegan ice cream! The soy-based product line includes five flavors: vanilla, strawberry, cappuccino, brownie, and hazelnut.

Promising a rich and satisfying customer experience, the brand’s most recent release joins its other high-quality products across categories, including yogurt, whipped cream, sweets, and topping sauces.

Oatly Launches Vegan Soft Serve Ice Cream, UK

Swedish plant-based dairy alternative brand Oatly now offers an oat-based vegan soft-serve frozen dessert in the UK! Various festival and restaurant locations in the UK will sell the vanilla flavor frozen dessert.

The brand’s launch partner, JENKI (a London matcha bar), will also use the product to create its matcha ice cream, and Lewis Hamilton’s vegan chain Neat Burger will offer it in its soft-serve shakes.
