What’s New in June: Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Innovations 

Ahhhh, summer in the northern hemisphere. Pool parties, BBQs, and, of course, more ice cream than usual!


This month, our fellow ice cream counterparts at leading non-dairy frozen dessert companies have debuted several exciting flavors. Taking our top choice and earning our Pick of the Month are the new Electrolyte Hydration Pops from GoodPop! Available in refreshing lemonade flavors, the product offers a solution to stay hydrated this summer!

NOMOO Brings Back Its Pistachio Flavor! Germany


It may be two years after its original debut, but NOMOO fans won’t care: Pistachio is back! The limited-edition return of the popular flavor is better than ever.


According to the brand, it promises to be so “incredibly creamy and intense in taste that you will melt away.” With roasted and lightly salted pistachios, the pistachio-flavored frozen dessert is “aromatic, nutty, and spicy.”

Tesco Launches Summer Edition Frozen Desserts! United Kingdom

 

Tesco’s summer ice cream line-up includes something for frozen dessert fans, too! The brand describes the range of bolder, inventive flavors as a “celebration of summer” and a “testament to our innovation and quality.”


  • Pineapple, Coconut & Lime Ice Lollies: Containing real pineapple juice and made with coconut milk and lime juice. A 4x73 ml pack retails for £2.50 ($3.17USD).

  • Cloudy Apple Ice Lollies: Refreshing apple-flavored lollies. A 4x73 ml pack retails for £2.50 ($3.17USD).

  • Strawberries & Cream Ice Lollies: Strawberry and cream ice lollies offer a refreshing twist on the classic British combination. A 4x70mL pack retails for £2.50 ($3.17USD).

  • Strawberry & Apple Ice Lollies: Strawberry and apple-flavored water ice lollies shaped like strawberries and served on wooden sticks. A 4x60mL pack retails for £1.60 ($2.03USD).

  • Sour Cherry & Cola Helter Skelters: Sour cherry cola-flavored ice lollies featuring twisted layers of fruity ice. A 5x70mL pack retails for £1.60 ($2.03USD).



New Choco and Strawberry Frozen Dessert Flavors from McDonald’s! United Kingdom


Plain strawberry and plain chocolate ice cream in a cup may not be innovative, but it’s finally arrived at McDonald’s!


The Vegan Scoop costs £1.59 ($2.03USD) and will be available at 52 locations, including Manchester, Rochdale, Stockport, Ardwick, Bury, Denton, and Ashton-Under-Lyne.


McDonald’s is also testing another product for frozen dessert fans: the McFreezy. This popsicle contains fruit juice and puree in Mango & Pineapple and Orange flavors.


The products are available until September 3. Depending on their success, they may appear at other locations in 2025.

 


Righteous Gelato’s New (and Returning) Frozen Dessert Flavors! Canada


A fan-favorite returns, and a new one debuts from Righteous Gelato!


  • Limited-Time Dairy-Free Pineapple Coconut Sorbetto (New!): Fair trade creamy coconut milk from regenerative orchards and coconuts from Sri Lanka, blended perfectly with vibrant pineapple juice. 

  • Dairy-Free Lemon Lime Sorbetto (Returning!): A perfect balance of lemon and lime creates a refreshing treat that’s not too sour and just the right amount of sweet.


Both flavors are gluten-free, containing no artificial colors or flavors.


You can pick up a 473mL pint at leading retailers or for curbside pickup in Calgary for $8.00CDN ($5.87USD).



NEW Electrolyte Hydration Pops from GoodPop! United States


During your next trip to Whole Foods Market, check out GoodPop’s brand-new Electrolyte Hydration Pops!


Made with 100 percent juice, no added sugar, and added electrolytes, the Pops offer a refreshing way to stay hydrated this summer! The brand claims the pops’ “three refreshingly fruity flavors help you rehydrate, soothe a sick kiddo and are Top 9 Allergen Free.”


Each 15-count bag (1.5 fl oz) has a variety of flavors: Tropical Lemonade, Berry Lemonade, and Peach Lemonade. Besides Whole Foods Market, you can purchase the new Pops online. Three bags (45 pops) sells for $20.00USD.



My/Mochi Releases Sorbet Mochi, United States


My/Mochi has added the perfect complement to its original portfolio: My/Mochi Sorbets!


The new premium sorbets, with 70 calories or less, contain natural fruit in pillowy mochi dough. The two flavors, Peach Mango and Raspberry, are naturally gluten- and fat-free and have no artificial ingredients.


They’re available at Target stores country-wide for a suggested price of $5.99USD for a 6-count (35g) box.
