HipCityVeg and The Franklin Fountain Team Up to Create Limited Release Vegan Flavor, United States
Two legendary Philadelphia food brands have come together to release a limited edition vegan frozen dessert flavor!
The recent collaboration between vegan restaurant chain HipCityVeg and Philadelphia’s iconic local ice cream shop, The Franklin Fountain, has resulted in a vegan Mint Chocolate Chip flavor.
The swirls of bean-to-bar dark chocolate in the frozen dessert are made by Shane’s Confectionery, America’s oldest candy store. The Franklin Fountain’s ice creams are hand-churned in a turn-of-the-century building in the heart of Old City.
The flavor is available exclusively at HipCityVeg.
Baltimore’s Black-Owned Plant-Based Creamery Serves Up Unique Flavors, United States
Cajou Creamery, a plant-based ice cream company in Baltimore, now sells healthier alternatives!
The creamery’s super-premium frozen dessert options are made using whole superfoods and are free from chemicals, artificial flavors, and fillers.
Cajou Creamery offers seven new vegan flavors that represent cultures worldwide, inspired by the company’s owners’ passion for travel and international cuisine:
Sweet Potato Pie: Roasted sweet potatoes spun into frozen dessert and sprinkled with cinnamon and nutmeg
Blueberry Cheesecake: American cheesecake classic swirled with a wild organic blueberry compote
Mexican Cacao: A rich, decadent chocolate with a hint of spices, such as cinnamon and nutmeg, which are typically found in a steaming cup of Mexican chocolate
Cortadito: Strong Cuban espresso folded into a cashew milk base for a beautifully balanced, sweet pick-me-up
Kulfi: Based on a favorite Indian dessert, this frozen dessert contains creamy coconut milk and cardamom
Horchata: Contains hints of vanilla and cinnamon, bringing to mind the popular Latin American drink
Baklava: Like the famous Middle Eastern pastry, this flavor is the perfect sweet and salty blend with crushed pistachios
Cajou frozen desserts are sold at Whole Foods and other stores, restaurants, and markets all over the area. The treats are also available at natural retail stores nationwide.
Receive it by nationwide delivery via the brand’s website for $12.00 USD per 473mL pint.
