WHAT's NEW in ICE CREAM in November?

The Holiday season is upon us and we are excited to show you all of the wonderful new festive frozen products we have gathered this month!


Our December Pick Of The Month has to be BASKIN ROBBINS Happyness Gift Pack - a collection of ice cream treats designed to be shared as a gift for those you love. What a beautiful idea to end the year with, don’t you think? More details below.



PRODUCT LINE EXTENSIONS / RENOVATIONS

 

- OATLY adds FROZEN STICK bars to its portfolio -

OATLY, having recently launched into ice cream pints, sandwiches, and soft-serve have now introduced 3oz stick bars to their frozen dessert portfolio. Available from December in four flavours in 3000 stores across the US, including Target, Wegmans, Harris Teeter, Giant, Stop & Shop, Fresh Direct, and Schnucks, consumers will be able to choose from Strawberry Swirl, Vanilla, Chocolate Fudge, and Salted Caramel at a launch price of $5.99 for three packs.



- Music Legend Jermaine DUPRI launches new Vegan ice cream with Walmart -

These days, there are seemingly fewer and few celebrities without their own ice cream brand. Music industry star, Jermaine Dupri partnered with Big Innovation Group to launch a vegan range of frozen desserts called JD's Vegan. The range boasts benefits like being GMO-free, lactose-free, and free from artificial flavours.



The dairy-free frozen desserts are inspired by Atlanta flavours and are made with coconut as the primary base ingredient. Flavours include: Strawberry Sweetheart, Welcome to Atlanta Peach Cobbler, and Apple Butter, and are available for purchase exclusively at Walmart online from November 16th and will be on Walmart store shelves nationally on December 28th.


The range of three is expanding to six this month and the range will see Chocolate My Way, Key Lime Pie, and (404) Cookies & Cream added to the line up.

The UK’s well-loved brand, Mr Kipling, has recently released a brand new line of cake-inspired ice creams so that consumers can try their fan-favourite cake flavours in a frozen format. Flavours include Viennese Whirl, French Fancy and Chocolate Slice, presented in the pack with a depiction of the ice cream alongside the cake that inspired it.


Containing pieces of sponge cake, shortcake and other Mr Kipling favorites, the cake-inspired ice cream SKU’s are pure comfort food for UK consumers and will be available for a limited time only at Iceland and The Food Warehouse.

- Canadian CHAPMAN's launches five flavours for Christmas -

Canadian brand, CHAPMAN's have launched five ice cream treats this holiday season including two Kosher certified ice cream cones and bars as well as three returning flavours previously loved by CHAPMAN's consumers. The five products are: New Holiday Moments Ice Cream Bars, New Winter Cocoa Cone, Peppermint Twist Ice Cream, Shortbread Ice Cream, and finally, Peppermint Ice Cream Sandwich, all of which are peanut and nut-free making them more accessible and inclusive to a wider range of consumers.

HAAGEN DAZS Peppermint Bark Ice Cream has just launched onto the US market as part of a selection of Peppermint Bark treats, including a Peppermint Bark Dazzler® Sundae, Peppermint Bark Shake, and Peppermint Dipped Waffle Cone.


The limited-edition holiday ice cream and other specials, including the sundae, shake, and waffle cone, will be available to purchase in HAAGEN DAZS Shoppes across the country until January 1, 2022 or while stocks last.

Scottish Ice Cream brand, EQUI, has launched a new limited-edition Tequila Rose Strawberry ice cream which is available exclusively at Yummy’s Desserts in Hampden and Baillieston as well as in EQUI’s flagship Hamilton ice cream parlour.

Indian consumers will be able to purchase a ‘Happyness Gift Pack’ - a new DIY ice cream kit - by BASKIN ROBBINGS to recreate the BASKIN ROBBINS experience at home. The kit includes two family packs of ice cream (customers can choose two of their favourite flavours from various choices), six waffle cones, two toppings, HERSHEY’s Chocolate sauce sachets and an ice cream scooper.


Targeting India’s city-dwellers who like to give unique gifts to loved ones, the Happyness Gift Pack is now available in BASKIN ROBBINS Parlours in the larger cities as well as on Swiggy and Zomato.



- EKSELENCE launches a whopping six new WINTER flavours -

EKSELENCE, one of Latvia’s primary ice cream brands and member of international group FOOD UNION, has launched a new line of 6 novelty ice creams in 0.5L and 1L formats. The range has three flavours: Pumpkin Spice Latté, Peanut Butter Crunch, and Vanilla & Chocolate with Cookie Dough, all of which are available in the 0.5L size. Additional flavours include Milk souffle, Banana & Chocolate, and Vanilla & Chocolate cookies which are available in the 1L size. All flavours are available nationwide in Latvian stores.



- WOW! 3 new ALCOHOL-infused ice creams by WHEYHEY -

Sugar-free UK-based ice cream brand, WHEYHEY, launched a new range of alcohol-infused, sugar-free ice creams for Christmas! A limited edition range that will be available to buy on WHEYHEY’s website for £6 per 500ml tub features three flavours including: Mulled Wine, Champagne, and Eggnog. Marketed as a way to balance out the overindulgences this Christmas season, the products are sugar-free, low in calories and high in protein.

LITTLE MOONS adds to their growing vegan mochi line with their new limited-edition vegan peanut butter and caramel mochi bites cleverly named ‘PeaNOT Caramel Crunch’ mixes a peanut butter flavour with salted caramel and crunchy caramel pieces all wrapped in flavoured mochi dough. The product will be available at Selfridges and Westfield in the UK as well as on the LITTLE MOONS website as part of a Veganuary six-pack bundle of mixed flavours priced at £40.



- Are Tomatoes a Fruit? WALL’s new MIXED FRUIT TOMATOES ice cream would suggest so -

The age-old debate over whether the tomato is considered a fruit becomes prevalent when talking about WALLS and DOI KHAM's new launch in the Thai marketplace. Their Mixed Fruit Tomato ice cream, which boasts a high vitamin C content, is the second launch from both companies following their 80 calorie passion fruit ice cream SKU.







- New Frozen CUP From GLICO WINGS -

Indonesia’s PT Mitrajaya Ekaprana (Wings Group) and Japan’s Ezaki Glico created Glico Wings under which they have recently released their new ‘Frostbite Tutti Frutti Cup’. The frozen cup is made up of nata de coco, basil seeds and real pineapple bits and can be found in Indonesian stores as of November 2021. As far as we know, the use of real pineapple bits as inclusions is a 1st.
