The end of 2024 did not disappoint ice cream and frozen dessert fans! Countless new launches from brands around the world resulted in fresh new products hitting store shelves and tantalizing shoppers’ taste buds.


One of the most exciting releases (and earning our Pick of the Month) is the introduction of LiQ's new Ice Pralines, featuring exciting collaborations with Baileys and Malibu. These bite-sized, indulgent delights combine smooth ice cream with premium liqueurs, offer a perfect balance of refreshment and luxury!

Gelato Messina Now Available at Woolworths! Australia


Gelato Messina’s new range includes the following six tubs, all available at Woolworths nationwide:


  • Super Vanilla: Vanilla gelato swirled with luscious vanilla fudge

  • Dulce de Leche: Crafted with Messina's signature house-made dulce de leche

  • Pistachio Praline: Fior di latte gelato paired with Messina’s house-made pistachio fudge and crunchy pistachio praline

  • Hazelnut Praline: Light chocolate gelato enriched with Messina’s house-made hazelnut praline and fudge, made using hazelnuts sourced from the Messina farm

  • Robert Brownie Jr.: Chocolate gelato packed with milk chocolate fudge and decadent chocolate brownie chunks

  • Tiramisu: Rich tiramisu gelato infused with coffee syrup


The 475mL tubs retail for AUD 14.50 (USD 9.06).



Hello Kitty Ice Cream Promotion at Baskin-Robbins Japan! Japan


To celebrate Hello Kitty’s official birthday on November 1, Baskin-Robbins Japan is offering a lineup of Hello Kitty treats!


The Hello Kitty Birthday Double Cup features two scoops of any ice cream in a distinct Hello Kitty cup and topped with a red chocolate bow. Each special dessert has an exclusive charm featuring a silicone ring and a metal clasp. Small scoops of this treat cost 660 yen (USD 4.18).


A standard Hello Kitty Double Cup (510 yen or USD 3.23 for small scoops) is also available without a charm.


The Hello Kitty Birthday Apple Pie Sundae contains two small ice cream scoops, whipped cream, a sweet sauce with apple chunks, and Hello Kitty chocolate. The 1,350 yen (USD 8.55) treat comes with a reusable microfiber Hello Kitty cup sleeve.


The Hello Kitty Birthday set is perfect for celebrating with friends. Its boxed set of eight small (priced at 2,800 yen or USD 17.74) or medium (costing 3,500 yen or USD 22.17) ice cream cups comes with a Hello Kitty blanket.



One Cup Ozeki Ice Cream from a Tokyo Sweets Shop! Japan

 

One Cup Ozeki – the most affordable sake found across Japan – is now an ice cream! The unique treat came from a collaboration between Hyogo Prefecture-based Ozeki Brewery and Sakeice, a Tokyo sweets shop known for sake-flavored ice cream.


The new flavor was available at Sakeice for 550 yen (USD 3.95) on October 10, the 60th anniversary of the day the sake first went on sale.


 

noon Minutes Relaunches (NOT) Fried Chicken Ice Cream! United Arab Emirates


The new version of noon’s (NOT) Fried Chicken Popcorn ice cream has an exciting new take! The ice cream, covered in white chocolate and rolled in cornflakes, features an exterior coating similar to classic fried chicken. Now, fans can find the ice cream in new flavors like vanilla, hazelnut, and lotus, plus enjoy dipping sauces including caramel and milk chocolate!

 

The products are available on the noon minutes website and app. A 140g box retails for AED 20.55 (USD 5.59). 


noon also recently released 20 eye-catching flavors for its Minutes Ice Cream Project. Interesting flavors include Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Puck Cream Cheese, and Daawat Spices.

 

A single scoop costs AED 13 (USD 3.54), two scoops are AED 21 (USD 5.72), three scoops are AED 27 (USD 7.35), and cones cost AED 2 (USD 0.54) extra, depending on the number of scoops.

Alfagel Globally Launches Popelino Ice Cream Sticks! Italy


The international community can now taste Alfagel’s Popelino sticks! Following traditional recipes, the Italian brand’s authentic gourmet Italian “gelato” is made in Lombardy. Four different products (4x78g) can be found in global retail locations:


  • Dark Chocolate: Chocolate ice cream covered in dark chocolate

  • Piedmont Hazelnuts: Hazelnut ice cream with a hazelnut chocolate coating

  • Sicilian Pistachio: Pistachio ice cream stick with a white chocolate pistachio coating

  • Madagascar Vanilla: Vanilla ice cream covered in milk chocolate and macadamia nut pieces


Each box retails for €4.99 (USD 5.18).


 

Two New Flavors from Ekselence Ice Cream! Latvia


The Ekselence range – known for premium-quality ice cream and refined flavor notes – is expanding once again! The following flavors join the brand’s 25 ice cream varieties range at major retailers across Latvia:


  • Festive Liqueurs in Ice Cream (new!): Creamy Ekselence ice cream with egg liqueur flavor, egg liqueur-flavored sauce, and rum-soaked raisins (available in 270g)

  • Salted Caramel and Pecans (returning, with additional size): Smooth Ekselence vanilla ice cream with salted caramel sauce and caramelized pecans (available in 480g and 270g)



New LiQ Malibu and Baileys Ice Pralines! United Kingdom


Two exciting new LiQ products have been released due to successful collaborations with Malibu and Baileys!


The first, Malibu Ice Pralines, features coconut ice cream with a touch of Malibu and a refreshing pineapple center, all encased in a crispy Belgian white chocolate coating sprinkled with coconut flakes. Each 7x13.5g (7x20mL) package retails for £5.00 (USD 6.25) at Tesco.


Baileys Ice Pralines also join Tesco shelves. These decadent bites of creamy vanilla ice cream are infused with Baileys, wrapped in crisp Belgian milk chocolate, and feature a delightful Irish Cream center. Each 7x13.4g (7x20mL) package retails for £5.00 (USD 6.25) at Tesco.



Baskin-Robbins Releases “Brie My Guest”! United States


Baskin-Robbins’ recent Flavor of the Month isn’t just for ice cream enthusiasts – it’s also a treat for cheese lovers! "Brie My Guest" is a bold cheese-flavored ice cream made from a base of brie and burrata ice cream, with almonds, pistachio pieces, and an apricot swirl.


It was available nationwide during November.



Post Releases Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles Cereal-Flavored Ice Creams! United States


Cereal lovers, rejoice! Post has launched new ice cream flavors to honor Pebbles' 50th anniversary!


The new flavors – containing half the fat and one-third fewer calories than regular ice cream – are arriving at nationwide retailers throughout February.


The new Fruity Pebbles light ice cream combines fruity cereal milk ice cream with crispy rice cereal bits coated in vibrant fruity flavors and a fruity swirl. 


The Cocoa Pebbles light ice cream blends chocolate and cereal milk ice creams with chocolate-flavored crispy rice pieces.


Each flavor is available in a 48-oz tub for USD 5.99. A 14-oz tub of Fruity Pebbles light ice cream is also available for USD 2.99.


 

New Ice Cream Brand ‘Happy Monday’ Launches! United States 


Happy Monday, a Washington, D.C.-based startup has launched! Promising “flavors of the African Diaspora,” the brand is debuting with three ice cream pints: Strawberry Jalapeño, Salted Caramel Fried Plantain, and Butter Pecan Ice Cream.


Each 473mL tub sells for USD 10 on the brand’s website.
